About Us

☼ How we got started...

A good friend gave me a burp cloth with French lettering as a baby shower gift. This burp cloth set in motion a quest to find and later create clothing reflective of my heritage, one whose family is partly from Mexico and where day to day life growing up in South Texas was a seamless blend of American, Mexican and Texan cultures and Spanish (along with some Tex-Mex) was spoken with regularity. Not finding any clothing that met this criteria, I created ChiquiKids with the goal of celebrating and honoring my Mexican heritage. ChiquiKids clothing reflects words, themes and spirit that were part of my everyday living. I invite you to be a part of this world.  Courtney
